Summer Fair

Grand Total Raised!

Thank you to everyone who supported this year's Summer Fair!

Despite the weather warning and high winds which led to our planned inflatables and food vans having to cancel (and last minute stall replacements being made), we saw an amazing turnout on the day!

The figures have come in and we are delighted to let you know that this year's Summer Fair raised £3,512.22!!

We simply couldn't do it without the support of our amazing school community so we truly appreciate it!

Summer Fair

Grand Total

The numbers for this year's intimate FoNH Summer Fair have been crunched and everyone who volunteered, attended or both helped raise an amazing £2,570.60 in funds for your child/ren's school.  Having made a donation, to the School, for CleverTouch screens FoNH have now achieved their goal of revitalising the School's IT provision and the screens join the visualisers, laptops and iPads our School Community fundraising has achieved.  FoNH are excited for the future and are actively seeking new fundraising goals which will benefit as many children, at the School, as possible.  Watch this space!

Token Donations

Summer Fair - community cohesion event

Firstly a massive thank you to everyone who attended our first cashless Summer Fair.  It was small but beautiful and was such a great community cohesion event.  Numbers are still being crunched as to total made and it will be shared.  The plan is for the tokens to be used at future permitted large events.  So you are very welcome to hold onto them or you could make a token donation and return your leftover tokens to the School Office.  Enjoy your Summer!

Bakes Donations

Let them eat Bakes!

Every Summer Fair Friends of North Heath have a Cake & Bakes stall.  And this Fair is no different.

Tokens will be on sale Mon 4 to Fri 8 Jul at Drop off/Pick up Infants' Playground.  Card & cash is accepted. Tokens will be sold in denominations of £5, £10, £15, £20.  FoNH believe that a minimum of £20 will get you one go on everything.

DONATION NOTICES  -- Please donate any good quality SOFT TOYS 27 Jun - 1 Jul at Drop Off or to the School Office (For Soft Toy Stall)

- Please donate any CAKES & BAKES 8 Jul at Drop Off to the Cookery Room (past the School Office & next to the Junior bike store) (For Bar & Bakes stall)

VOLUNTEER SIGN UP - We are still short of volunteers to run 2 stalls for 1 hour.  Please do sign up http://volunteersignup.org/J7K34.  FoNH set the stall volunteer numbers to ensure everyone, including the stall volunteers, enjoy this Community Event.  If there are not enough volunteers for a stall it has to be cancelled as FoNH want to ensure all our volunteers have as much of a great time as those attending.

This week is for you!

To our amazing Volunteers'

Thank you to everyone, over the years, who has volunteered for our events.

However, with a little under 5 weeks to go before the Summer Fair, which is planned to run on Saturday 9th July 2pm to 4pm, Friends of North Heath [FoNH] are appealing for volunteers.

FoNH are totally dependent on our school community of parents/carers volunteering either 1 or 2 hours of their time to man stalls.  If not enough volunteers step forward by Saturday 25th June regrettably the Fair may have to be cancelled.

To ensure the event can run please click on the following web link (or copy it into your web browser if clicking doesn't work) to go to the signup sheet:  volunteersignup.org/J7K34  To sign up, just follow the instructions on the page. It only takes a few seconds to do.

Thank you for volunteering!

It's Back!!

SAVE THE DATE!!! - Saturday 9th July  2022

After a two year gap the Friends of North Heath  - SUMMER FAIR  - is back!!!

Planning is underway for a simplified afternoon fair to ease us all back into the new normal.  Parent/carer volunteers, to man stalls, will be needed so please keep an eye out on social media and emails.

Sneaky peak ahead - 2022 sees FoNH hosting a principally cashless fair.  This means tokens will be on sale, both before and at the fair, to purchase by cash or card.  Most of the stalls, except where it's impractical,  will be handling only tokens rather than cash/tokens.

A brand new, easy way to support us

Introducing Nectar Donate

It's now even easier to help FoNH raise funds for classroom CleverTouch® screens.  We have signed up with Nectar Donate, a new initiative launched from the team at Nectar and Crowdfunder.  This means you can now donate, without any cost to you, any or all of your Nectar points to us!

You will need to link your digital Nectar card account (online/via the app) to your Crowdfunder account.  Then simply visit our dedicated crowdfunding page and when you get to the "Payment method" screen, select "Donate with Nectar".

If you haven't used your Nectar card for a long time, why not dust it off now, check your account balance and donate those points to us!  And don't forget, as you continue to shop all those points will soon add up.  If you then feel like donating some or all of your points to us, we can continue to fundraise for this amazing educational technology.

For more information please click here to view our donations page.

Brilliant News!

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Following the Christmas Recordings project FoNH can now reveal our amazing School Community has successfully helped us raise £4,550 for 2 CleverTouch® screens for one of the two year groups whose classrooms haven’t yet had the funding to be able to have these screens fitted.

FoNH have offered the monies to the School and continue to fundraise for the remaining two screens to fulfil our pledge to our School Community and the School.

There are lots of fundraising initiatives and events planned for the rest of the school year and we would love you to join us in helping us, help the School, to help your child/ren and have every classroom at North Heath equipped with this amazing educational technology.

FoNH scoops £500 grant!

Friends of North Heath are delighted to announce they have been awarded a £500 grant from the Moto in the Community Trust.  This grant is going towards funding a year group which does not yet have CleverTouch®  screens installed in their classrooms.  FoNH are always investigating grant applications opportunities and welcome application suggestions from their School Community.

However FoNH are still fundraising to raise money for all the additional CleverTouch® screens needed by North Heath Community Primary School and anyone can immediately help us make a difference with donations both large and small.

Matching our pupil numbers, if 420 people donated:

* just £5 each it could help FoNH fund 1 screen;

* just £16 each it could help FoNH fund 3 screens;

* just £27 each it could help FoNH fund 5 screens.

Thank you for donating.

May 2021

FoNH launches CleverTouch® classroom boards fundraising!

Friends of North Heath Community Primary School are delighted to be raising money for additional HD CleverTouch® classroom boards, £2,275 each - 5 required in total, at North Heath.

In the School's own words 'The CleverTouch® boards provide a High Definition display with a full touch screen and gesture control, which is as simple to use as a tablet or Smart phone. Unlike screens with projectors, the CleverTouch® boards have no shadows or glare, meaning pupils' participation in lessons is uninterrupted. The children have told us that they all really like the functions such as a timer, whiteboard and that any page shown on the board can be annotated to support their learning.'

With 14 classrooms in total, and two classrooms per year group, FoNH are immediately seeking to raise enough funds to buy screens for the year group classrooms which haven’t yet had the funding to be able to have these screens fitted.

Anyone can immediately help us make a difference now by donating.   If just 420 people donated £5 each we could buy one screen.  Thank you for donating.

Click our 'Donorbox' button to donate now!

FoNH is calling for your feedback!

We would be very grateful if you could take a minute or so to provide us with your thoughts and suggestions by clicking this link.

FoNH committee are really keen to hear your thoughts and ideas about which events we should seek to run in the future.  This could include events we have run in the past, as well as brand new suggestions.  As we work closely with School, using their premises, FoNH would liaise with the School to decide what suggested events can be run.
